House Calls for Your Pet Provides Much-Needed Assistance

Grizzly Moon Mobile Animal Service Hospital (Grizzly Moon - MASH), a house call companion animal veterinary service, is now open for business out of Columbia Falls. Owner Dr. Kate List, along with veterinary technician Ann Thiel, will attend to dogs, cats, and small pets in the surrounding Flathead Valley area. The mobile practice offers screening blood workup capabilities, radiograph services, modern gas anesthesia, pain relief options and dental cleaning procedures in addition to the usual preventative and diagnostic medicine and surgery services.

The mobile veterinarian practice is a ‘dream come true’ for a little girl who had wanted to become a doctor.  When neighborhood dogs started hanging out with her, she began to realize that animal medicine just might be her calling.  Later, she studied ferrets and spent her summers caring for livestock while in graduate school at the University of Wyoming, where she earned her master’s degree in Pathobiology working with the canine distemper vaccination in black footed ferrets.  Dr. List keeps herself surrounded by animals.  She currently owns seven cats, two dogs, and one horse.  “I’ve just always been around animals.” She explains.
